I just wanted to throw it out there. emusic.com is giving away 50 free downloads. I have enjoyed the site so far and you have 2 weeks to bail out if you don't like it.
Downsides: Some artists are not to be found: Genesis, Peter Gabriel, Rush, just to name a few.
They do however have some great artists like John Scofield, Brand X etc.

Before I forget, the best music site out there imho is allofmp3.com iPod lovers are going to be home here, as the compression can be completely customized and are $.02 per MB
