I've had an ASL HB1 for quite some time but haven't used it too much. I think I just found a great combo though.

Apogee Mini-DAC -> Analysis Plus Silver Mini-RCA cable -> ASL HB1 (w/Electro-Harmonix) -> Grado RS2

I've found that it works well with both flats and bowls. Previously I couldn't ever listen with bowls, they were just too bright. Has anyone else tried this or a similar combo?

those antique labs amps look like they'd be great with grados. IMHO a lot of OTL amps are.
Been wanting to try mine with a morgan Jones.

Yep, just make sure you replace the tubes. The stock Chinese ones aren't that good.
