I just picked up some Fostex TH900mk2 on eBay. I used http://www.audiocheck.net/audiotests_polaritycheck.php and noticed the polarity is reversed. I plugged in the cable properly according to manual. Does anyone have experience with this? Are there reports of fakes of this product? I suppose it could also be an improperly serviced product. Any recommendations what I should do?

I'm also using a 1/4" to 1/8" adapter, is it possible for these devices to reverse polarity?

Super late reply, but using a Sennheiser 2 pin cable would reverse the polarity.
