Thank you very much BenF.
This sharing of the information is of the true spirit of head-fi.org, even though the generation of the data is not easy and might require hours of labor.
I like this head-fi.org.

You are welcome, but I didn't create this model, just used it.

Has anyone found a high quality Rhodium Plated 2-pin connector to be used with a custom 4-feet balanced cable for TH900MK2? I have been using Sennheiser HD600 connectors but it does not fit perfectly, it works OK.. I have found two products, one of which is not made of Rhodium-plated high quality material.

1) Furutech FT-2PS-F connector (I am not sure whether it fits perfectly for TH900; mostly used for Sennheisers) ,http://www.furutech.com/2013/03/19/6094/

2) Using just the connectors of the cable(not rhodium plated) at https://www.amazon.com/NewFantasia-...F8&qid=1533015874&sr=8-1&keywords=th900+cable

What are your recommendations?

Interesting little hiccup using the stock cable on my TH900 MK2, I seem to be getting a ridiculous amount of feedback when I feed these from my Audeze Deckard paired with my gaming PC. Swapped the cable out & the issue disappeared. Seems to only happen when the amp is connected to my PC & I use the stock cable with that fat metal cylinder on the 1/4 connection. Can't seem to replicate the issue on any of my other amps except the WA7. Issue was not aided by my IfI peripheral chain.

I got a third party cabel in order to make my TH900 Mk2 balanced (for FiiO X7 2nd).
The dealer told me it will fit, but it didn't. There was music, but the plugs fell out all the time.
So I checked the package again and saw it was a custom made cable for a HD800.
Close comparision - see picture - showed me, that the plug doesn*t go in deep enough. By 1mm, which is a lot for a little plug.
Since I didn't want to waste time on a replacement I manually shortened the base of the plastic until the had exactly the same looks.
And "tadaaa" now it perfectly fits.
Took me 5 mins and a sharp knife.:dt880smile:

FYI Sennheiser connectors have the polarity reversed on the 2 pins compared to the Fostex cables. Not sure what that affects but is another reason the Sennheiser are not advertised as compatible.

This might have been asked before in this forum - but if a want a 3.5 mm 1.5m cable to the TH900mk2 to make it more portable. Which one do you recommend?
Preferably one with a flexible chord. I don't mind cutting a little bit or resolder some parts to make it fit.
Do anyone have any recommendations?

I don't think anyone would recommend the TH900 for portable use but if you really want to & can't be dissuaded... Here you go: https://m.ebay.com/itm/3-5mm-Cable-...CC-Silver-Plated-Copper-OPTIONS-/172921934152

Well I am talking about a Cardas Cross Cable that was ordered explicitely for TH900mk2. But the package had a check mark on a list of headphones for HD600 (or HD800, I forgot). TH900 was not an option there.
Since the sound is perfect I guess they did the polarity in the right way. If not, the sound would be weird, right?

After my adjustment I am quite happy with the cable. It is 1,5m, which I prefer since my X7 is always next to me.

I don't know about doing it the right way... as long as they didn't charge you more for what is essentially just an aftermarket cable for HD600/650. All my HD600 cables fit my TH900 if I just reverse the big and small pins (L &R facing out for HD600, L&R facing in for TH900). It's not snug, but it works. As far as I know, no company out there has that unique 2 pin connector used on stock fostex cables.

i listened to the same tracks last night with the th900 that i'd listened to the previous night with the utopia. the th900 has wow factor in spades.

That sweet vocal. That thunderous bass. That accurate soundstage.

Miss my TH900.
Because of this fact, I am afraid to buy HD800s which are likely to fail to meet my expectation.
This line of thinking keeps me from buying HD800s when I bought He-6s and LCD2.2s that provides soul of the music rather detailing it out.
