I wonder if a Lawton would sound better with Fostex branding on it. That's one thing I haven't tried yet.
Will call Marc with a special order this morning and I'll keep you guys posted when I get them and found the time to burn the cups in.

I have a friend who ordered volume knobs in 3 different wood sorts for the Amp. He can hear the difference depending on the wood sort. It won't surprise me if you hear the difference if its branded Fostex, or perhaps AppleheadMay.
I have Nuprime HPA 9, class A headphone amp on loan. It is a bit darker so TH900 don't get to bright and the bass is as I remember it on Cavalli Liquid Carbon. I don't know if anyone have experience with the amp but after 24 hrs burn in I am more and more impressed. I find it perfect for TH900.
Well, they'll want to compete on price with the new Sony flagship that was just announced.
Also, you chaps have your math wrong. Remember, the current "entry level" Fostex-Tesla-BioPaperWhatever can is the TH-610.
900 - 610 = 290. So the new model will undoubtedly be called the TH-1190, and with that kind of numbering, I won't be surprised if it has fax/telnet functionality baked in somehow..... though it'll still come with those afterthought cable sockets.
