Apparently this is like a cross between a ribbon and dynamic speaker in one, but then marketing hyperbole always sounds good, the headphone may not. Here's the specs and info on them: http://www.kellyindustries.com/downl...ones_specs.pdf
I can't seem to find a review on the net or here, and I was just looking for something to try for about $100 dollars with a less coloured midrange than the rs-1s. I'm tempted to try the akg 501 but lack of bass puts me off.
Edit: I've found a bit of info and what I've found seems promising. Basically 'regulated phase' microphones seem to be the best type available but are much newer and more expensive compared to traditional types.
