I'm going to make a cable for my t40rp's because the stock 1/4 one literally died on me in 20 minutes of use.

Therefore I'm going to just make my own cable, but I have 1 question regrading these headphones specifically. Will there be interference issues with the 3.5mm lock on the headphones.

Say if I want to use this, will the connector be able to go all the way in, or will it stop by the shell of the cans

I don't think that connector will fit.
I bought this to use with my T40RP:

That narrow gap before the male connector is required to allow it to fit.
