Hi! This is my first post in this forum. I have an iPod Touch connected to a DAC/Amp Fostex HP-P1. The device has a great sound, I pretty happy with it. I'd like record the audio from the optical port. I connected the HP-P1 to a Sony recorder with an optical cable. I found that the signal out of the HP-P1 is much higher than the digital signal coming from the macbook pro I have. The HP-P1 signal is often at the 0dB peak, when from the mac, with the same sound file the max level is around -6dB. Is someone as the same experience as me? How to adjust the digital signal level? Thanks!
