For those that think subscription based music may not be so bad

Those services are terribe, i would never pay for something i'll never actually own, but only be granted access to in some way or another.

Vinyl records don't disappear...

gotta say that subscribers to that particular service can't complain. They have service tethered downloads (unlimited) and ten permanent mp3 downloads per month. Service tethered implies that if the service no longer carries the music it is no longer available.

That being said, I still wouldn't subscribe to a drm-based service.

eMusic is the only of these kind of services I have even considered. DRM-free. I don't remember the rates, but it came out to around 40 or 50 cents per song. Quantity over quality any way you look at it.
