Are any of you experiencing problems with the detachable cords? My set of 497's has developed a nagging tendency to "cut out" on the right channel, and I have to wiggle the cord to get full volume back. I know violeta88 complained of the same problem. How about the rest of you? I'm debating whether to send these back to Sennheiser for fix or replacement.

Happens to my new HD497 too but mine is on the left side. I think I complaint about it before but my poor English made my complaint unheard to everyone.

I had that problem when I first got mine, seems to be a running complaint. Have you tried removing the cord completely and then reconnecting it? I haven't had a problem with them since.

funny you mentioned it, I'm using the 497, when I first used it, my right channel got cut off. then I try pushing the right cable inwards and outwards until I can get better volume.

I gave up, plugged it out and pushed it back in.

and after some turning and twisting, my full volume are back.

Never had the problem for the last 11 hours.

Thats impossible. How do you twist the rectangular shaped cord?

twist the headphone jack into the headphone itself.

When you plug the jack back into the headphone, I push it in, and turn it around until I hear the sound.
