I know this has been done before, but my friend wants to ask. I guess he's actually listened to me when I praised headphones, not my other friends, who made fun of me.

He's getting a nomad jukebox for x-mas, and he wants to get good phones. what should he get, sr60s or sr80s? senn 495s? No amp, for now

Is he going to use the Nomad as a portable? If so, the Sony V6 would be a killer choice. Else, strongly consider the SR60.

And the SR60 have plenty of bass. The sound feels complete. To my hears much nicer than that of the HD495 (unamplified).

Hmm, interesting vr6s. . .

Yes, he'll be using it as a portable.

So, sr60 seems to be the favorite . . .

Although he's not interested in getting into high-fi . . . it'll be interesting to listen to sr60s. Maybe I'll spike his interest . . .

Not for me, if there converted well, they can sound quite nice. If done horribly (god knows how this happens) it'll sound like dog crap.
