Does anyone prefer comfys over bowls? I guess I like comfys because I used 80is's which came with comfys. The reason why is that the 325is are A LOT heavier than the 80i's, many know this. Seems as the comfys do not put as much stress/pressure on the ears. My comfys have a coin sized hole in the middle so it doesn't mess with the sound signature.

In short, does anyone else prefer comfys over the bowls? (for 325is)

Its funny, I prefer the bowl pads on the 80is because they are a lot lighter so there isnt much pressure on the ears.

If you guys have both pads, swap them.. try it out.

Yet, the bowl pads project and give a better soundstage. I find them quite nice and comfortable, actually.

I find that the bowls worked best for me too. The earmuffs (gs1000 pads) were a definite showstopper though..

I have tried the 414 yellow pads in various configurations (straight, reversed with holes) but they just don't sound as good as the original bowls to my ears- I have them taped as well. Unless you're listening to them for hours and hours, they aren't that uncomfortable (for my big ears).

Gee, another Grado pad thread - how novel ....

414s or we start lighting the torches and sharpening the pitchforks.
