Does anyone have problems with mp3s downloaded off the net when you play them in foobar2k? Sometimes partway into the song it gives an error like "clipping detected" or something it just doesn't play at all. This doesn't happen when I use it in Winamp.

thats because winamp doesnt take the liberty to tell you that its actually happening

if you can't hear the clipping then just turn off the console in foobar and thatll solve the problem

I got that all the time when I had the "Show clipping warnings" option enabled under the Playback preferences and they went away when I disabled it. You could also try ReplayGain or the Advanced Limiter DSP to reduce clipping.

Hmm... it is off but I still get warning like

WARNING (foo_input_std) : mpeg stream error at 307750 bytes, attempting resync
INFO (foo_input_std) : mpeg stream resync successful

on some songs and it stops playing. Other songs just produce no sound.

On songs where I get that stream error problem, I just delete them
