Hi guys,

If I solve this problem, I'll return the SACD player I just bought.

Every time I convert iso SACD files (multi channel) to FLAC in Foobar2000 ... foobar makes it a 44100hz file instead of keeping original that was 192000hz. Why is this happening? How can I tell Foobar to keep original quality?

thank you

............. and a follow up question is ... if I do not solve this issue ... should I care that I am listening to 44100hz sound and not 192 on my home theater system? It's still going to be multi channel mix

Might also try posting Foobar2000 questions on this forum.

already got my answer. Just had to go to Preference, SACD and change rate from 44.1 to 88 or 176.  382 or something like that didn't work.

Well, since I'm here:
I've been trying to get FB2K to submit to my will about playing DSF files.  There's constant reference to something called 'fb2k sacd.dll' or something to that.  There is no such baby.  I see only 'foo-inputsacd fb2k component'.  Question:  Where is this ****g .dll file I need.
Does using XP have some restrictive proclivity to this dificulty?
Thanks for any help.

All you need to do is either double click on the .fb2k-component file you have downloaded and foobar should prompt you ask if you want to install this component. Or go in to the foobar2000 preferences > Components. click install and browse to the .fb2k-component file and restart foobar when prompted.

They have done it this way to stop people incorrectly manually installing plugins.
