How do you enable the 192khz upsampling option in foobar. My drop down in the resampler only goes to 96khz. In Winamp5 I'm able to upsample to 192khz but not in Foobar.

Thanks!

Using a 1212 that has no problems playing 192khz from Winamp5 via ASIO. But Foobar doesn't even give me the option for 192khz. Does everyone really type in 192000 to get 192? I thought it would be in the drop down.

Yes, to get 192k you just type it in, 192000

Many people prefer 44.1khz anyways.

LOL, ok, it's not your sound card then.

Yes, everyone has to type it in manually in Foobar.

joins in the chant: "type it in..."

i did some rudimentary comparisons of my own and i never noticed a difference when playing back at 192khz sampling rate.
don't forget that if you upsample than you're wasting the 1212M's other great feature: the onboard fx engine which will only function at 44.1kzh and 48khz.

I second this. Upsampling does little to nothing IMO. But the DSP effects are awsome, just leaps and bounds over Foobar's EQ and even the Convolver plugin.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I got it to work at 192. I think I didn't configure the right session in PatchMix.

What's up with the Fx engine? I'll look more into it this weekend. I'm using speakers though and not cans. I have my 1212 going to a Sharp SD-EX111 which is powering NHT SuperZero's and a custom Sub.

click on the button that's in the upper right hand corder of patchmix that's labeled "fx". it will display a list of FX you can insert into a strip. also, these FX can only be used when your session is set for 44.1kzh or 48khz sampling rate.
anyway, there are a lot of different effects you can use to tweak your sound.
