I always wondered if it is possible to do search within a playlist in Foobar 2K. For example, if I made a "classical music" playlist and I just want to limit my search within that playlist.

The reason I ask this is that I don't want to type ... AND %genre% IS classical or other kind of precisions at the end of my search query.

Now that I really think about it, I sometimes make long and somehow purely arbitrary playlists, how would I do to return everything by a single artist in that playlist?

While you have the playlist selected, CTRL + F. It will center your cursor around the first result.

You can also hold down control while you click to select multiple individual tracks at once.
