I was wondering if there could be a foobar2000 component that controls the windows volume according to the replay gain information in your music.

I know foobar has built in replay gain settings that uses digital volume control to apply the replay gain adjustments to the audio data. I think it would be cool if there was a way for it to automatically change the windows volume, which I've read is usually a digitally controlled analog volume, so that you could use replay gain without altering the audio data at all.

As far as I know, such a component doesn't exist. It probably wouldn't make any audible difference to the usual replay gain settings anyway. I'm just curious if it is possible. Is there a different software or player that does this?
