I've become a huge fan of The Unthanks.

Previously called Rachel Unthank and the Winterset, they are an English folk group from the North East of England.

The new album is...can I say exquisite! Just love the voices.

They won a couple of major awards in the UK last year.

Sound ok, will look into them further. I do like my folk!

Shame, they played Oran Mor in Glasgow last night. Lovely venue, old converted church, nicely lit, etc,etc.. also helps that there's a whiskey bar, too lol. Seen Bat for Lashes in there. My favourite venue.
