Listening to my IEM's and switching to the HD465, I found while the 465's soundstage is addictive, it's bass is far too boomy and it's far too large for to be really portable. What's out there that you could dunk into a coat pocket (i.e. not all that bigger than a pair of PX-100's) with good soundstaging? I'm looking for something $100-$150.

I can get my hands on Audio Technica ES-7 pretty easily; I have no idea about the iCans.

What about the AKG K81DJ? The soundstage isn't very wide but it is very deep. You can really hear layers and the 3D imaging is quite good for such a small closed can.

Hey man,

Yeah, the ES7 is a lot bigger than the PX100's. I guess there's the ES5's, which I think are pretty nice, but I don't think they're the performance level you'd want. You're welcome to try either of them at my place if you're around in Manhattan. Shoot me a PM.

What did you think about your KSC75's?

Best,

-Jason
