I want to make my Focal listen both compatible with 3.5 classic and 2.5 trrs, to use it with my fiio X1 or my aune m1s.
 
I started withe the cable :
 
wiring 2.5 side
 

 
then 3.5 (killing a samsung remote/mic to use 3.5 4 pins)
 

 
from the tip it is
3.5  R- R+ L+ L- 
2.5  R-  R+ L+ L-
 

 
and then 3d Printed lock on jack
 

 
Now the headphone itself
 
disassembly of the left cup
 

 

 
then the cup dispatcher and the jack
 

 

 

 
increase the dimater  for le new jack

soldering and testing everything is ok

 
reassembly of the cup
 

 
Now i'm just wating for my M1S come back .. but with 3.5 classic everything's all right.

So how is the output quality? Is there a big difference now that it's balanced?
