Excellent review my friend.

As a suggestion or more like a request, if you could get hold of a pair of ModHouse Tungsten, single sided version and see if this amp can drive them properly. Given the specs of this amp it should have no problem running them well, but there's always the chance and I'm considering this amp as a possible replacement for my Aune S17 in case it cannot run them properly.

Interested to hear how the Mentor stacks up to amps like a Headamp GSX (not the mini) or maybe even the Ferrum Oor

While I am soooooo intrigued by this amp I am concerned about bass quantity, quality and impact. If there was a way to audition this amp, without losing around 300 USD, I would be all over it.

Same hear unfortunatelly in EU is schiit much more expensive and also out of stock most the time, so the Mentor will be probably the winner.. In US is different situation...

Hey guys, I don't know about the Mj3 but I have reviewed the Ragnarok and the Mentor beats it in transparency, timbre and fidelity. It might not be that impactful but it has a higher-end pedigree.

Anyway. I am owner of Fluxlab FA-12 (balanced version). If I remember right you also had it on your table. How would you compare it to the Mentor?

The FA-12 is packed right now and it is not safe to do a comparison by memory. The only thing that I am %100 sure is that the Mentor is on another league when it comes to transparency, timbre, flow, resolution, refinement and blackness. The Mentor is a higher tier amplifier.

@Ichos You didn't have a chance to test the FA-10 Limited, did you? It would be interesting to evaluate how much of a sound quality upgrade the changes made to this special version have versus the regular FA-10 and the Mentor.
