I'm going to buy the Audioengine A5 speakers, and I've decided to get floor stands for them. However, I don't know a damn thing about floor stands, so I need some opinions.
 
Right now I'm looking at these stands from Sanus, however I'm worried the 5"x5" top plate is going to be too small to hold the A5 speakers, which are 7.08"x7.87". Would they be too small for the speakers?
 
I'm also open to suggestions for other stands. The only requirements I really have are that they be between 30" and 36" tall (and hopefully not too expensive).

I have the 24" version of those stands and I've put some larger speakers on them with no issue.  You'll be fine.  Just don't kick your stands or whatever.

I used those with my A5. Works fine. Got them from Fry's. I got the 24' one.
