So i've been looking at the threads for best sq flash players and stuff, however I haven't found any of those top choices (like the clip, sony nwz-a718 or w/e it is) to have a line out. Anyone know of a good sounding, NON IPOD lower memory flash player that has a line out?

oo that looks cool, it's expensive though for so little memory.

I'm reconsidering on the nano...maybe it would be alright. Isn't it only the 1st gen nano that has line out? And does it have good SQ?

I wish the clip had a line out :/

All Nanoes have lineouts via the usage of a LOD.

Their DACs are predominantly supplied by Wolfson, which is also the same company the supplies Cowon and Kenwood a majority of their DACs.

Only the first Gen Nano supports Rockbox (and in turn, UMS) however.

...

It has an SDHC card slot, I am using an 8GB capacity

But if you want to realy take advantage of Kenwood's SQ be prepared to spend more on some good IEMs that what you spent in the Kenwood ...

Kenwood A7 uses dual wolfson DAC.
One for left channel and one for right channel.

The Fuze has a line out. More expensive than clip, but still cheap compared to other brands.
Uses the same connector as the Ipod, but the pin distribution is different. So you would have to DIY a LOD cable for it...

You use the earphones the same way with the Kenwood as you would with any other player.

To make a cable you need better than basic soldering skills, and need to know what pins to connect to get the line out signal (which you can find out from Sandisk probably).
