Hi all

New here so hi and it's nice to be here.

I would consider myself pretty knowledgeable when it comes to audio and I recently purchased a set of Flare Audio Jet 1 earbuds based on reviews I've read and the marketing blurb, which promised (for want of a better word) great audio quality.

Sadly, despite running these now for over a week with various sources (several Android handets, an iPhone, iPod, iPod Touch and even my main PC with decent soundcard) these claims simply do not translate into reality.

They exhibit a very harsh and uncomfortable top end above 50% volume and it seems no amount of EQ adjustment can temper this.

My hearing is fine and all other earbuds I own do not exhibit the same characteristics. At £50 or so I am really disappointed and was wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience or is it possible mine are faulty?

Certainly not up to par.

Thanks in advance

David

Consider yourself lucky that you only spent £50, I bought several in ear headphones from them (r2's), and every few weeks the cables broke, under normal use, and now they don't even have the cables to replace them, and all I got offered was a lousy 20% off code to buy another pair of headphones....

Ask to get your money back and tell them they sound crap.
