Help!!!

I have bought a FIIO X3,burned CDs to FLAC files using Sony Media Go.

When I transfer the files to my FIIO they play as MP3.

I have accessed device preferences, and ticked do not convert high resolution audio.

I have also accessed media preparation and ticked none.

Is media go the problem,do I need another cd burning programme,if so ,which one?

Many thanks.

Are you sure it's set to FLAC? Some management software, like Creative's equivalent of iTunes (or equivalent of what Sony had for their HiMD players) can recognize FLAC, but when you transfer it into the player, it converts it to 320kbps MP3 automatically as the player can't read FLAC.

Just download MediaMonkey or Foobar and rip the CD with either one of these. Won't take more than 20mins to get from download start to your second disc (unless your internet connection sucks, but over here I only need 10mins - and my internet is a lying SOB of a 1mbps broadband).

Thank you so much for solving my problem!

I downloaded Media Monkey and it works really well. The Sony software didn't!

I can now enjoy my Fiio X3.

I owe someone a favour because of your help.

Thanks once again.

If you're on Android, download MM from Google Playstore and update your PC's MM - you can now sync your phone's audio content wirelessly :D

(not like you might actually use it as such since you have the X3, but what the heck
