I bought a brand new CD today and I opened it up and ripped it first in FLAC via foobar. Last few songs had quite a bit of skipping in them. Ok...just an occasional error right? So I reripped it again, same problem. I then decided to try WavPack via foobar. Still the last few songs had some skipping in them. For the fourth time, I try ALAC via iTunes. No problem. Sounds great with no skipping. I don't see this being foobar's fault as I've ripped other albums in FLAC before with absolutely no problems.
Possibly the CD?
Anyone else have this problem?
Any suggestions?

It's has nothing to do with the format (FLAC, Wavpack, ALAC), it was a ripping issue.

The process goes like this: CD > Ripping > Temporary Wav > Encoding > Compressed file (Flac/Wavpack/Alac...)

The ripping routine of Foobar and iTunes is different and the errors that occured when you read the CD were probably corrected by iTunes but not Foobar. If you use FLAC as you main format, a transcode from ALAC to FLAC with Xrecode (or foobar) would be fine.
