It's not a headphone amp, but it has a power supply. One of my Carver TFM-15CB amps started blowing fuses a few days ago. My meter shows that one of the rectifier diodes is shorted which makes sense since only one fuse is blowing. I can't seem to get any answers from Carver's repair service - just an answering machine. The transformer is putting out about 36VAC through two 8A fuses. Does anybody see any problem in replacing the four diodes with 6A10's (100V reverse voltage, 70V RMS, 100V DC blocking, 6A forward current)? They aren't marked, but they seem similar in size to the 6A10's.
Thanks!
