Hi, new to DIY section.

i have a pair of Sony IEM that i extremely love that has broken cable.
i would like to fix them by myself.
The problem occurs on the cable near the connector.
So i already cut that part of cable last night, then there are 4 cables appear.
Green,Red,copper,copper.
So now i wonder what supplies i will be needed for the fix.
Any recommends? or any instruction?

Thanks.

What IEMs are those?

Do you know which wires go where? By the two copper colored wires, I'm guessing your IEM does not have a microphone and/or a remote. The two copper wires are probably the return wires of the drivers. Now the question is which is green and which is red. It's easy to verify, but I don't know if you already know which are which. Do you?

Have you used a meter to check if the wires are indeed good up to where you cut it?

Assuming you already have the tools necessary, all you need is a male TRS connector. Ebay is full of them, just buy the one that looks nice to your eyes. Since it's an IEM, the cable is probably small, so make sure the cable opening of the plug is not too large.

If you don't have the tools... then you're gonna need them and learn how to use them.
