Hi, I have a pair of Audio Technica M50. I bought them at mid 2007 and at some point the right speaker stopped working, so recently I bought a new pair of elements after some testing that proved the right speaker was dead. I checked each of the new elements to work, and I soldered them, but there's still no sound coming from the right speaker. I used a multimeter to check that there's a connection between the right and left elements and there is a connection, but no sound. When connected directly to the main (left speaker) cable - both elements work, but when one of them is connected to the left speaker itself, it does not work. Here's how I soldered the left speaker: http://i45.tinypic.com/6huphi.jpg In the picture above, there's a smaller cable with two wires that are connected to two different points of the metal junction, but in the image it appears as if they are both soldered to the same point - that is just a bad angle the shot was taken at. Here's the right speaker (which looks messy, solder-wise, but is not short circuited: http://i46.tinypic.com/2kfrjq.jpg Does anyone know why doesn't the right speaker work despite the seemingly proper connections?
