I've been getting into my bargain audio recently and have always, always wanted to know what the fuss about valve/tube amps!

My budget is by no means large, I want to spend as little as possible. I currently run a fubar dac, the one with a dog on it, and an icute amp not sure of the model.

I was looking at the bravo ocean tube amp, but no knowing if I'll like it or not, I'm reluctant to she'll out $120 for it? Is there a cheaper, similar alternative? Doesn't have to be fancy! I just want to give one a go

The Schiit Vali is $119. It's tube is soldered in though, so you would have to be pretty comfortable with a soldering iron to change it (there's only one other tube option?) Anyway, it is a tube amp, and if you end up not liking it there are people here that will buy it for a little less than you paid. 
 
Check out some of the used tube amps in the classifieds here before you buy new, you can get a higher quality amp for the same money in most cases.
