I get about as much tube joy out of a Starving Student as I have out of any tube amp I've yet heard, ZD included. The thing is adorable, and sounds great. What a kicka$$ amp.

Yeah, I spent some time last night listening to seven tubes - three in my phono preamp and 4 in my headphone amp - so for me it's always at least 3, and often more
