Never thought this would happen to me and I'd like to have my money back..

I purchased a Leckerton UHA-6S MKII for $210USD from 'gigtcj'  on December 13, 2013 and still haven't received the item.

Thing is, he has 4 positive feedbacks and thought I'd wait for a while because it was holiday season and wondered if the item got delayed.
but now, I'm convinced that the item won't arrive and also the seller hasn't responded to my last two messages..

I paid through Paypal and read about filing a dispute; however, I don't have any hard evidence (no tracking info) except for the private conversation..
Would that be enough to file a report?

Any help is appreciated, thank you in advance.

If you didn't use Paypal gift, then you can file a dispute. IMHO, you have nothing to lose by filing the dispute - at the very least, it might make him respond. You have waited long enough - holidays or not, he should reply to a message. Hopefully it is just a lack of communication - but even that really sucks. Some people are such jerks. Come on people - This is head-fi, just do what you promise to do!

The member is a duplicate account of a known scammer: candc07. Feel free to point Paypal to this post or their profile which is marked with the information.

In ten years here, I was scammed twice.  Seems it WILL happen eventually sooner or later in spite of feedback counts, etc.; however, after perhaps 200 transactions here, Head-Fi's members are the most trustworthy and honest of any other forum to which I have been a member.  Please do not use the PP "gift" option.  Pay the fee for an additional level of security.  Sorry this happened.  Hope it works out.
