I thought high impedance is easier to drive than low impedance.

Nono, low impedance is easy to drive! High impedance headphones, such as: HD600 and DT 880, are hard to drive, they need amp to power them!

same root word as "impediment". might make it easier to remember

higher impedance basically means more resistance, so more power is necessary to overcome said resistance, in order to start driving the speakers...

with sensitivity, on the other hand, more is (usually) better.

Hi Denis,

All is well and I still enjoy listening to the UM2s, after upgrading them with the Comply tips, I like them even better as it's much easier to get a good fit. I will however, be trying out a pair of Ultimate Ears soon as I'd like to see how a custom fit product compares with the universal fit in-ears such as the UM2, E5 etc. Will keep you guys updated, Merry Christmas to all!

Anyone know where I could buy a replacement cable for my UM2 that have a mic attached to it.
