Saw that there is a first generation Audio-GD Compass on Ebay with low mileage. Anyone know how it compares, in class, to the NFB-11 or NFB-15? Not necessarily wondering the sonic nuance differences. Just wondering if it's about as capable a DAC and amp.

Thanks :)

I think one of the biggest upgrades was the implementation of better USB inputs, and Kingwa always seems to up the transformer size. As a DAC, it'd probably be close using S/PDIF. I'd use your NFB-11 as a DAC and get a separate headphone amp... but I think you know the options better than I

. That NFB-11 is a highly valued DAC/pre!

I already have a use for the NFB-11. I want a setup in another room. I don't want to haul the NFB-11 back and forth :)
