I decided to purchase my first amp after trying many headphones and not being 100% happy with the sound.

The headphones ill be using it with for now are Ultrasone, HFi550 , Proline 650, Ultrasone HFI2200ULE(when I find a used set) , and Alessandro MS1i.

My sources are a Ipod shuffle 1st gen (might replace it with a cowon s9), Yamaha and Kawai digital piano, Macbook pro and mac mini. So if it has a built in DAC that would be great

Ideally id like to spend 80-120 but I can go up to 150 if its Really worth it. Im open to buying used

If you want the DAC you could get one of headroom's mobile line. I bought a Little Dot Mark 1+ that has been great. Good battery life, very live sound, adjustable gain...and it looks cool.

The little dot mk1+ looks great hows the sq compared to a bithead, I noticed it doesnt have a DAC

Is it better to get a separate DAC and amp than having them in one device? Can I get something good/ decent for both under 150?
