Hi all,

This may have been addressed elsewhere in the forum, but I just got a FiiO X3 today. I am trying to do the firmware upgrade to be able to use my X3 as a DAC. First, I'm running Windows7 and I don't have the option of formatting the card as FAT32, only EXFAT or NTFS. I tried formatting the card as EXFAT but my FiiO does not recognize it. I then formatted the card as NTFS and my player recognizes it but I'm still unable to do the firmware upgrade. Has anyone else run into this problem and if so, how did they resolve it?

Thanks,

James

Take a look at this post: http://www.head-fi.org/t/661411/fiio-x5-thread-info-updated-on-jan-17th-2014/6585#post_10443466

Instructions for pulling off FAT32 using the command line in Windows. Just be careful with drive letters to prevent a disaster!
