Can the headphone out drive Grados decent enough? (I need this for recording now that my Delta died...since I'm getting a notebook in a year thought external is the way to go).

Should be fine. Drives my Phillips hp890 (low impedance) and Senn hd650 (high impedance) just fine. Only rarely would I want more volume, and then I'm glad it is not there because it would probably make my ears ring.
