Finally I'm just about finished with building my ppa. I wanted to thank Tangent and Voodoochile for answering questions and offering suggestions. The project looked pretty intimidating at the start with so many parts, but the whole thing went smooth. The amp is biased into class a, has bass boost option, AD8610AR opamps(plan on trying out the 627's), ha5002-5 buffers(replacing with glassmans when parts arrive). I also built a steps psu to go with it .

To make the plaque, I made a page with "ppa" in a bunch of different fonts along with volume, left, right, min, max, etc. I inverted the color on "ppa" so the the outside would be black. I took the printed out page to kinkos and had a transparency made for $1. Then I picked up the thinnest lexan home depot sells for $2. Made a shape I liked, cut it out with a dremel, sanded, and painted the backside of the lexan with black krylon leaving a rectangle in the middle covered with tape so the ppa logo will show through. Thats it. The process took less than an hour. I wasnt sure how it would turn out but I really like the result. Its interchangable too so if you get sick of one font replace it with something else

Its only half finished, will be lighted with blue leds and I might label the volume knob and back panel.

Ooohh... Lighting that up would be slick. Next, you should lower the suspension and put 19" rims on it.

jhawk22,
Beautifull work, congrats. I have to try that Kinko's thing.

I do like that name plate. I'd bet you could do this with a laser printer as well. Those of us who make our own PCBs have the transparencies already...

That came out very well! It's nice to see something different like this.

Good of you to post the first pic as well, it makes the second case look even better!
