I'm getting my Beyers for around $250ish, but yeah - the amp is the hidden cost here, which is why I'd rather keep it under $400 if possible, otherwise I'll end up having to justify a headphone amp purchase by buying more pairs of headphones to go with it

Sounds like a good price for the Beyers...we pay so much more than our American friends for just about everything here in oz...

Ok, I picked up the amp - it's an X-Cans headphone amp, perfect condition, sounds very nice.
