So thanks to ifunbox and tuneshell, I'm finally free of that garbage iTunes software.  Now I can play flac on my iphone 5 , just drag and drop(as long as they are 48000/24bit or less, have to reduce quality if they aren't).  But now I have no way of browsing/listening to my music library on my MacBook pro, other than VLC player.  I want software that will allow me to browse my library like I could with iTunes, any suggestions?  I'm running 10.6.8.

Thank YOU!

Foobar is supposed to be the best starting point for OSX. Personally I prefer Jriver (but it's not free), you could download both and check which one you prefer (monthly trial available for Jriver).
