Please refer to the original thread for all info: LINK

Sorry to start two polls on the same thing in such a short amount of time, but I got some really good suggestions in the first poll and wanted to start over.

Please only vote for names that you seriously think I should use, though I know it will be hard with some of the names in the list.

Feel free to choose multiple entries.

What does it look like? Will this be the new flagship product (Is it just a simple custom job or does it actually surpass any of his other designs?)?

It is a custom job that should be the most advanced dynamic amplifier he has built. Also his first balanced headphone amp AFAIK. Quote:

No idea, it is not built.

These two posts [one | two] should give you some idea of what it will look like. It will also be using metal can capacitors [externally mounted] similar to the ones in voodoochile's beautifull amplifier, but mine are unfortunately tin rather than steel and will have to be painted black to match the chassis.

Also, you may want to take a look at Pabbi's new amp. It is electrostatic, but the same chassis and similar tubes will be used, though the layout will be very different. [LINK]

The layout on my amp will be like this...

Rear: centered transformer flanked by a pair of metal can caps on each side
Mid: tube regulator in front of the transformer
Front: 4 pentodes and 4 6h30 tubes aranges in a staggered or zigzag formation Quote:

No, this is a one off custom job. He will not be adding this to his lineup.

LOL, you seriously think I should name it that? I just put it on the list because it made me spit my tea when I read it.

I love those tube sockets... but, we can't have it all, now can we?

2x on not-so-adequately-powered headphones... wussy HEV70.

Seriously, how can it be other than the PE-1? Well, unless you go PE-X / PE-Z / PE-Omega (couldn't find the cool ascii code for the letter).

Hmmm I still haven't given my amp a name yet.

I found the layout mockup that I sent Peter to give you an idea of how it will look from an aerial view. Yes it is to scale. Yes I drew it in MS Paint.

I had to vote for A340. I know it's simple, but I like it.

Although with an amp that size I'd be tempted to just go ahead and call it the
McAlister Audio Penis Envy Edition.

LOL That would be the McAlister Audio PEE. I made a funny!
