While I realize there already is a thread for all of finals's IEM's, I thought that these amazingly great sounding earphones deserved their own dedicated thread.

They both offer an incredible amount of SQ for the $$.

The E2000 is the more neutral of the two, with the E3000 being a nice option for those that prefer a warmer/smoother signature. And they both scale surprisingly well.

I can't recommend these little guys highly enough!

What about making it the general E series thread to include the E4000 and E5000 :D they are both excellent.

I know @PinkyPowers is enjoying the E5000 a lot

I just got both as I was curious, I much prefer the e2000 as the e3000 bass gets a bit overbearing at listening volumes, the 3k is also a bit too rolled off at the end while the e2k is detailed yet not fatiguing. They are very comfortable and come with 5 pairs of tip for the goldilocks fit. I think I'll keep the e2000 as my everyday as it is just push in and go, I'm not always up to jamming triple flanges in my brain with the etymotics.

Unfortunately, the microphone picks up all the audio being played through the earphone, which would include the caller on the opposite side. This is rather common with the cheaper and less known earphones but I expected better from final audio, I contacted them and will let everyone know what they say. I hope they change the earphone a bit, the strain relief on the mic are also very sharp and rigid, not offering much help to the cable with bends if they don't cause bends themselves.

Also, at least on the e2000, the front imaging is a bit high. If you try any binaural recordings, the sound moves up as it moves to the front. Other than that the imaging is pretty intimate, which is pretty usual for small driver in the canal types like these.

I wouldn't call the e2000 analytic as the treble extension is still a little forgiving, but they are certainly detailed and the even keeled reproduction allows you to shift your focus. The e3000 bass tilt actually takes away from the detail as the high remain lower in relative volume, they also extend a bit short before rolling off.

Lastly, the mic is on the right unlike most earphones (notable, apple ones are also on the right)

I got a pair of E2000, i read many comments about these failing after a couple of month, fragility where the cable enters the earphone shell, do all earphones have this cable knot security inside the shell? have you got issues with your pair?
