Final Audio D7000

You’re right not everything can be groked via a graph, BUT massive problems like backwaves unattended to that create a mess of a sawtooth response is not hokus pokus - neither is the bass roll off. This is something that is very much audible if you know what to listen for. Of course there is individual hearing and the way our heads are shaped that comes into play - especially with what happens to the sound north of 1-2k…but the Immanis is still very much a headphone with objective flaws. Whether or not those flaws are pleasing to the listener is then entirely subjective. My point is that you can get similar flawed presentation for much less, but that doesn’t account for the mountain of expectation bias that naturally forms around headphones with these insane price tags. Human beings can’t just turn off bias.
I’ve heard every other Raal offering before, like mentioned above. They sound exactly like they measure ie poor to these ears. The one with the Star Wars design that rests on your temples sound like a lesser take on an old school AKG with very forward mids and the newer one that looked like a scarecrow with scourers as pads sounded like a bass boosted old school Audeze with even less upper mids. Both of which can be seen over a proper measurement.
I’m not saying that some folks won’t like the sound.

…and yes let’s get back to the D7000👍
Have you actually heard the Immanis? I am a very simple guy when it comes to audio: sounds good and enjoyable? I buy it. Doesn't sound good? I don't buy it. I couldn't care less about what measurements show. :) That said, I have no intentions buying the Immanis due to its price tag, but it is something truly special and I enjoyed it. I don't know if I would say the same after owning it for some time, but my two auditions were impressive. I am not sure; we can say things like 'these headphones are objectively flawed'. By what standard? Harman curve? That is not everyone's holy scripture. Immanis sounds different to everything else: some will love it, some won't.
But I guess we should stop polluting the D7K thread. 👍

I put the Washi pads on my D8000 Pro. Now the D7000 sounds trash.

Sounds like the clipping issue is very similar to what happens with some Focals? I had the Elears, but they would clip with low frequencies at modest volumes. Total deal breaker.

Took an open box d7000, its my favorite until I heard driver smacking. I had D8000 pro(driver rattle at realistic loud volume on bass that I easily attain on other planar. So if it’s normal I could use it as bass head relaxation night listen. If I listen to other music it’s never doing it. So ask for replacement or get something else.

Really stinks for me they are almost perfect and has nothing to do with the tuning. You can tell the headphones want to produce loud bass as it’s not distortion.

Oddly I don’t remember D8000 pro limited having driver smack when I had a set.

You should let your dealer know about your problem and ask them to push it to Final. This problem has been there since the OG D8000 and every single other iteration. Rattle will always be there at very high volume with deep bass. But should not occur at normal listening volume even with heavy bass or it's defective. Final never answered or acknowledged the problem

I applied Treble Boost EQ to the D7000 and it sounds fantastic!
