OK - now I am really confused.  My X7 has build number FW 1.7.  But on the FiiO site there is no FW 1.7.  I jumps from FW 1.5 to FW 1.8. ????

1.7 was a transitional firmware that was never released to the public. Just update to 1.91.

Statements regarding some leftover problems of X7 FW2.0
 
 
Thanks to our engineers' hard work, we have recently released the X7 FW2.0, which is going to solve the problems that many consumers were asking to do. But meanwhile, new bugs come with the adjustments. Those problems are the least things we would like to see since it will take lots of time to figure them out. However, the good news is that most  problems can be avoided during the use. Therefore, we decided to release the FW2.0 with the hope of not keeping you waiting for too long.
 
First of all, we feel it obligated to explain all these problems in detail so that you can better understand them. But please rest assured, we will solve these problems in the following firmware. Please give us time to work on this and we apologize sincerely for all the inconvenience .
 
Problems to be solved:
1. Volume will decrease and then resume in 8 sec after plugging the headphones in.
 
2. When playing PCM tracks, there will be a fade in when fast forward or rewind, which will generate a small-to-large change in the output wave.
 
3. Docking the X7 to K5 to play music then connecting it to computer through USB, X7 can't be recognized unless you plug it out and in again. Disconnect it from the computer, the reminder of mass storage mode will not vanish.
 
4. Using the micro SD card to upgrade, the LO output amplitude will decrease by half, and you need to turn on and off the “Adjustable volume at line out” or reset the X7 to factory default.
 
5. When using X7 as a USB DAC, there might be sound delay with video playing.
 
6. Enter the FiiO Music, play a track and connect X7 to the RM1, VU meter will stay still. Exit the app and restart it, VU meter will function well.
 
7. Enter the FiiO Music and connect X7 with Bluetooth headphone, VU meter will stay still, exit the app and restart it, Bluetooth will stop functioning. To solve the problem, you can plug in and out the headphones or turn off and on the Bluetooth.
 
8. The default coaxial output is DOP and D2P output has not been supported yet. DOP/D2P switch option will be added in the following firmware.
 
9. Some album covers might not be displayed in the Artist menu.
 
10. Connecting X7 with RM1, the sampling rate of coaxial output can't be switched immediately. Problem can be solved after you reboot the X7 and restart the app.
 
11. If the Google Play Store error pops up and X7 can't function well, please try to update your firmware to FW2.0 or reset your X7 to factory defaults.
 
12. When connecting RM1, the volume of X7 will decrease and then resume after RM1 entering to sleep mode

Hey guys. Pls help.

Got some problems with my new player. Here is the list.
 
-=Player Only Mode=-
1. When screen is off i can't DECREASE volume. Only Increase. Working ok if player screen is on.
2. Sometimes player just don't want to play compositions. (FLAC, MP3... don't care) And (onscreen) play button just goes Pause/Play/Pause/Play/Pause/Play... loop. Hardware button don't do any work at that time as well...
3.If i have installed 3rd party players from FIIO market PowerAmp and Neutron. Sometimes they just starts playing instead of FIIO player. Esp Neutron... then PowerAmp.
4. Once my Volume control just stop reacting AT ALL. So PlayerIndicator goes from 120 to zero and back but sound itself just stays on MAX. Once i've changed Volume settings to linear it was fixed.
5. In DAC mode on MAC 3rd party players start itself and plays music on background once there is no active sound on my mac. Once some application on mac will play sound again player stops that bg music.
 
 
-=Android Mode=-
In Android mode DAC is totally unusable... a lot of clicks, noize and other strange sounds... in Player mode DAC quality is ok.
 
 
Bluetooth.
Sad story... it's just unusable... I have pretty good BT Headphones. Sony R1. And ANY smartphone sounds MUCH better then FIIOX7 over Bluetooth. Yes, i know that there is still no APT-X yet (will it bve invited sometime later ?) But now this function is just for remote clicker... Sad. This option was one of the reasons why i bought it. Should bought Sony instead ? Anyway i like this player in general, but this problems just destroy my experience all the way... is there any fix for that ? Software ?

Was getting some help form FIOO FB support. We did full wipe and fresh firmware reinstall... But most of my problems still there

How about trying to wipe out the cache partition first? After done, pls select "wipe data/factory reset".
The certain user solved this issue by doing the above. So pls try it. 
 
The new firmware for the X7 will be available in early September if everying goes well, so pls wait for it patiently.
