I have put a 256GB Micro SD in to the slot and ever since i have the music player has been extremely laggy and keeps freezing. I have factory reset the internal memory. I have tried time and time again to sync the tracks to different players. I have even tried putting the card in the other slot and it hasn't helped. I have the latest firmware installed. Does anybody have any solutions please?

Your card might be the problem.
