I used to have the x5 2nd gen that I bought 6 years back, never quite liked it and every other dap I bought after that was quite a lot better in sound and features.

I'm considering buying the hidizs ap80 pro x. Do you think the upgrade from the fiio x5 is worth it? Thank you very much

I haven't heard the hidizs I must admit, and its been years since I heard the x5 too, but from my memory when I had the x5 I didnt feel moved with the music, it was kinda meh. I have had many DAPs ever since but even the BTR7 I have now sounds very good.

thank you very much, for now all I have to do is change the battery to the fiio x5 and get some devices from a well-known sales platform. if I am not satisfied I will return everything.
