I just had to explain to a friend how he could improve the sound of the new headphones (AKG K92) he is buying on his smartphone or laptop buying using an external dac/amp. Anyone it got me thinking so I thought I'd give my X3 a go, installed the drivers on my Windows 10 laptop and plugged it and and boom, great sound and a reason to keep this little thing a bit longer. I was looking to give it away as lately I've been using my smartphone and Sony WH-1000XM3 over bluetooth. Now I am giving them a run out in wired mode for the first time.
