Sorry, I can't help that much with this

Hm... Only one more thought comes to mind. Are the ogg files extremely compressed? It might take more time to decode them if they are heavily compressed. Though they are not flac which at lvl 8 is presumably harder to decompress, I don't know about ogg being harder to decompress in certain situations

Nope, I usually try do compress files as low as posssible.

However this was only test, I am returning to mp3 (or flac when gapless will be available).

Dear csglinux,

We are trying to reproduce this issue you metioned. The probability seems to be too small. It would be appreciated if you have more information.

Best regards

My device also played back at double speed after wake up from sleep. When I was playing flac files in a directory that were 96/24 before it went to sleep and then after wake up from sleep switched to a directory with 44/16 files. I think alac. The 44/16 files played really fast.

  I’ve discovered a slight glitch that while playing a track with the screen in sleep mode, occasionally after pressing the power button to awaken the unit the track skips back to the beginning or to the previous track.

Dear Aspencer,

Thank you for the feedback. It seems something like pressing the Up / Previous track / Rewind button. We will check and report to the engineer.

Best regards

Dear PrgSkidmark,

Thank you for your kind feedback. Does this happens in FW1.5.3? And you didn't press any button but the progress bar and the music you heard would in double speed itself?

Best regards

Hi, guys!
I am a new user of the FIIO X1 II and of the FIIO Products in general and I have some questions. Is it possible or is it planned to add a clock in the OS? It would be great to add a setting to choose one of the 2 (I think) Designs/Skins of the OS (Circular/Flat). Now OS is switching back and forth between them.
Can I put firmware file on the SD Card with my Music Library? Is there any possibility that SD will be formatted during the firmware upgrade?
Which music format is the best for the player? I currently have MP3/FLAC/M4A formats in my lib.
Thanks!

P.S. The player itself is fantastic! So far I'm lovin' it!

Just copy FW file in the root directory. Upgrade won't delete your music files.
Now DAP read mp3 and FLAC faster than OGG files, I tested it. I would recommend one of these, depending on your preferences (I don't hear difference in SQ between mp3 @320 and FLAC on my headhones).

My device is on FW1.3.3
This should be exactly what happened.  The player was playing 96/24 flac files.  I turned off device by pressing power.  It may not have been sleeping.  I am not sure about that.  Later I turned on device, and then navigate to a different folder to play 44/16 alac files.  When the selected file started playing the music and progress bar was double speed.  I was able to fix by turning off and turning on the device again.

This happened one time.  I will load FW1.5.3 and see if I can replicate it.
I usually hold power until "See You" appears because I forget the device is still playing and it drains the battery.  So my device may not actually sleep when I stop using it.

Hi,
When you stop using FIIO X1 II  the player will automatically go into deep sleep after a set amount of time of playing music with no user operation, It's not shut down just deep sleep...

It's seems that X1 I do a real shut down in similar circumstance.

I thought the first few times I forgot to stop playing that it just kept playing and drained my battery.
Once I get the FW1.5.3 loaded then I'll let it go and see.

Did anyone have a chance to compare SQ of FiiO X1II do Xduoo X3 or Xuelin ihifi 770?

Now there are plenty cheaper chinese DAP with powerful (for this price level) components. Some of them have Rockbox installable.
Rockbox = gapless, so if I can find similar sound to X1II signature and install Rockbox, I would fine perfect DAP for me.

Dear George P,

1. The clock function may not be added for the X1II but thanks for your feedback still.
2. Yes, you can put the firmware file in the card when there are music files in the card.
3. The X1II can support following music format:
Lossless:
APE(Fast):  192 kHz/24 bit;
APE(Normal):  96 kHz/24 bit;
APE (High): 96 kHz/24 bit;
FLAC: 192 kHz/24 bit;
WAV: 192 kHz/32 bit;
Aiff:192 kHz/32 bit;
Aif:192 kHz/24 bit;
WMA Lossless: to be supported by future update;
Apple Lossless: 192 kHz/24 bit;

Lossy compression:
MP3、AAC、WMA、OGG....

Best regards

  Dear FiiO,

I have a thought about Now Playing Screen. Is it possible to implement "Next Track" below progress bar instead of filename?

Dear bachankas,

Thank you for your feedback. We we roport to the product manager. But the user may not know the name of current playing music if showing "Next Track" below progress bar.

Best regards
