Good day everyone! Happy holidays to everybody here on Head-Fi! First time for me to post here on this thread and I was just wondering if anyone here experienced a problem with how the "Category" option works in the FiiO X1-2? It used to be that I can browse my songs from the "Album" sub-option but after upgrading the firmware from 1.3.1 to 1.4.2 beta, I cannot see my songs in the Album category. Now it only lists "(null)" and "Unknown album"! But "Browse files" works fine.

This null issue only happens in FW1.4.2beta. It is only a beta firmware which may have improvement to Bluetooth collection. Please update the stable firmware FW1.4.1 which doesn't have this issue.

Thank you for your feedback, we will report to the engineers and product manager.

The X1II has library search function: activate by holding Shortcuts button in any category or folder browsing screen; use previous / next buttons to switch between numbers and alphabet).

Could this meet your need? You can have a try first.

I believe it would actually be better to just have a way to skip through the letters via the Fwrd/Skip buttons : he scroll wheel is still too slow and jittery during the step of selecting a letter. It is quite unprecise :/

Hi Guys, i wasn't able to find it in the previous posts so this is my question: is it possible with the fiio x1 2 gen to modify ratings of the tracks? (for example: i used to do it with an old ipod classic, to prepare the work i had to do at home with new playlists)

Or in case is it possible to modify the playlists themselves to add new tracks directly from the devoce and not from the pc?

You are using the external playlists or internal playlists?
If you means the external playlists, it is not available to modify the playlists from the X1II directly.
If you means the internal playlists, yes you can modify using the X1II directly.

Actually i'm still deciding to buy or not your device.
So i don't know the real difference between internal or external playlist, but from your answer i have a quite complete idea of what i will be able to do.
The only one point, if you can help me, regards the rating of the tracks: may you kindly tell me if there is the possibility to rate the tracks directly from the device?
 
To be precise: when i'll be at home i have the intention to use Media Monkey Software as the interface on the pc to manage tracks, playlist and ratings, but as i said, it would be very important to me to be able to rate new tracks during the listening on the device, when i'll be walking on the street.

No. I don't have the fiio yet. I'm waiting for it to arrive from aliexpress. I saw review on youtube from one guy and he said that equalizer doesn't work with flac files. Also i seen the leather case for fiio x1 ii on aliexpress but it's out of stock. Will you get new stock of this case on aliexpress in the future?

Still hoping to see some performance fixes in the near future. The 1+ hour mp3 320kb files I have take 15 seconds to start on the X1ii while on the Mrobo C5 they start instantly (same sd card same tracks) and the Mrobo costs just $35...
