Seems like the car function is only for ON/OFF/Charging the X1, not an issue  as I can still use the 3.5mm aux to listen the X1.
 
About the alarm clock, I think will be a nice addition to have as I like to wake up listening my favourite songs : ) Right now I have an Ipod connected to a speaker to wake up every morning, but my growing flac collection is not in the ipod.

Definitely would prefer to buy from Aliexpress for that price. It cost S$35 at my local retail too. Pretty exorbitant isn't it

That FW is labeled 1.4.1 not 1.4.2 beta.

OK. I have joined the FiiO x1 team and purchased the silver version today. I don't think I could last 30-45 days to wait for the M1 or A60 to ship from overseas.

Can't wait to update the firmware that's currently 1.0 to the newest and then start listening.

Quick question for fw updates...can I jump from 1.0 to latest or have to do each one along the way?

I had posted in the sponsor thread as well.  Can you advise if during bluetooth playback, making changes to the built-in EQ will not have any effect?  Any other X1 owners listen via bluetooth can can comment on if EQ changes have any effect for you.
 
 
If this is behaving by design, any possibility to add the ability for EQ changes to effect bluetooth playback in a future release?

It would certainly be by design. Normally you would do any EQ via the receiving device whether that be powered speakers or DAC etc.
